Role Overview:

The Engagement Manager for M&A and Investment Banking acts as a strategic lead responsible for driving end-to-end deal execution. In this front-end role, you will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and execute high-impact transactions. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing the deal lifecycle, and ensuring that strategic objectives are met through rigorous financial analysis and market positioning. This role is pivotal in shaping the firm's advisory footprint and delivering high-value outcomes for clients navigating complex mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end sell-side mandates, managing the entire deal lifecycle from initial pitch to final transaction closure to ensure optimal value realization for clients.

- Oversee the preparation of comprehensive deal collateral, including information memoranda, management presentations, and financial models, to effectively position assets for potential investors.

- Manage client communication and stakeholder expectations throughout the transaction process, providing strategic guidance on valuation, deal structure, and negotiation tactics.

- Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams and external advisors to streamline due diligence processes and mitigate risks during the execution phase.

- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the M&A ecosystem, leveraging market insights to expand the firm's advisory reach and client base.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in executing complex sell-side transactions, with a deep understanding of valuation methodologies and financial modeling.

- Proven ability to manage senior-level client relationships and navigate high-stakes negotiations with confidence and professional maturity.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex market data into actionable strategic advice.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for leading deal teams and presenting complex financial narratives to diverse stakeholders.

- A minimum of 5 - 12 years of professional experience in Investment Banking or M&A advisory, with a track record of successful deal closures.

- An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree from a premier institute, complemented by a proactive approach to working in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Bangalore.
