Role Summary:
Own WiFi connectivity firmware for NXP-based IoT products, from development to field reliability. Act as the subject-matter expert for WiFi security and diagnostics, supporting both firmware engineering and field deployment teams.

What Youll Do:
- Design, develop, and test WiFi connectivity firmware (driver, supplicant, network stack integration) on RTOS-based microcontroller devices
- Implement and validate WPA2/WPA3 security modes, including 802.11w and compatibility with major enterprise AP vendors
- Own WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise (802.1X/EAP-TLS) implementation and device certificate handling
- Design device WiFi provisioning/commissioning flows for field installation
- Diagnose and resolve AP vendor compatibility and BLE/WiFi coexistence issues using packet captures and RF analysis tools
- Collaborate with field teams to address customer network issues and deliver actionable firmware fixes
- Support definition and validation of WiFi test cases
- Write efficient, maintainable code in C/C++
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and participate in code reviews
- Document software design and implementation details

What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Strong proficiency in embedded WiFi firmware development (WiFi driver, wpa_supplicant/hostap integration, TCP/IP networking on resource-constrained devices)
- In-depth knowledge of WiFi security and association mechanics (WPA2/WPA3-Personal, transition mode, PMF, 4-way handshake, connect/reconnect behavior)
- Experience debugging AP vendor interoperability issues using wireless packet capture tools
- Familiarity with enterprise/managed network environments (VLANs, RADIUS, captive portals, client isolation)
- Understanding of BLE/WiFi 2.4 GHz coexistence mechanisms and RF fundamentals
- Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with assembly language
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) programming and debug
- Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Strong logical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise (802.1X/EAP-TLS) hands-on experience
- Healthcare IT environment familiarity
- Zephyr RTOS experience
- Experience with NXP RW61x, Silicon Labs, or similar connectivity microcontrollers

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
