About this role
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for embedded automotive systems and ECUs.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing of embedded software.
- Analyze system/software requirements and create requirements-based verification and validation tests.
- Validate ECU communication using CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Perform UDS diagnostics, DTC, fault-handling, and communication testing.
- Execute HIL/SIL/MIL testing using Vector, dSPACE, ETAS, or equivalent tools.
- Develop automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink.
- Use CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, INCA for network analysis and ECU validation.
- Troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams.
- Manage defects using JIRA, DOORS, ALM, Polarion, or similar tools.
- Maintain requirements traceability, test coverage, test reports, and validation documentation.
- Support software releases through automated regression and integration testing.
- Work closely with embedded software, hardware, systems, calibration, and functional safety teams.
- Preferred knowledge of AUTOSAR, ASPICE, ISO 26262, UDS, DoIP, and automotive diagnostics.
- 5+ years of embedded/automotive testing experience with strong ECU validation and test automation expertise preferred.
