Position Name: Embedded Software Tester

Role Summary:
Responsible for testing embedded software for safety products in industrial automation. Tasks include system understanding, requirement analysis, and implementing automated test procedures.
What Youll Do:
- Perform system, component, and functional level testing using automated test procedures
- Create and execute black box and white box test cases
- Conduct unit testing of C-functions using Tessy
- Analyze requirements and interact with stakeholders
- Work with static code analysis tools for C and C++
- Ensure compliance with MISRA 2004 and 2012 coding guidelines
- Apply knowledge of IEC 61508 standards
- Document and report defects throughout the software development lifecycle
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- 4+ years of experience in software testing and executing test automation
- Practical experience as embedded software developer (at least 3 years) OR reverse engineering skills
- Experience in real-time, embedded programming languages C/C++ and ANSI C
- Proficient in black box and white box testing (automation only)
- Extended knowledge in Tessy 4 (unit test of C-functions)
- Experience in working with static code analysis tools for C and C++
- Knowledge of test case creation methods (classification tree method, equivalence class method)
- Experience with software development and defect life cycles
- Good system understanding and requirement analysis skills
- Fluent in English
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Knowledge of IEC 61508, especially parts 3, 6, 7 (functional safety engineer preferred)
- ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level
- Experience working in a team and independently
- Knowledge of German
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
