Lead Core Platform Software Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Core Platform Software to own and drive core platform software sustenance across   Bootloader, Power Management, Linux Kernel, BSP, and SoC infrastructure.

The role will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and will be responsible for debugging, platform bring-up, firmware integration, kernel/firmware upgrades, and customer escalations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain core platform software including Bootloader (ABL/QHEE), Power Management (RPM/RPMh), Clock/Regulator frameworks, and Linux Kernel subsystems.
• Handle peripheral, memory, and clock/regulator driver sustenance across the SoC infrastructure layer.
• Work on non-HLOS/bare-metal/RTOS firmware and support DSP/NPU firmware images.
• Debug SoC bring-up issues, power sequencing problems, driver issues, and platform regressions.
• Validate BSP/core platform software against new chipset and firmware releases.
• Manage Linux kernel and firmware version upgrades and vendor SDK integration.
• Coordinate with other engineering pods and manage cross-pod technical dependencies.
• Provide technical support for customer escalations involving core platform issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and platform-level knowledge base.
• Mentor Senior Engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.

Must-Have Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Core Platform / Embedded Software Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in C.
• Good understanding of ARM architecture.
• Strong experience with Linux Kernel core subsystems.
• Hands-on experience with Bootloader development, preferably ABL/QHEE.
• Strong knowledge of Power Management frameworks, including RPM/RPMh, Clock and Regulator frameworks.
• Experience with JTAG and hardware debugging tools.
• Experience with SoC infrastructure, peripheral drivers, memory drivers, and non-HLOS/RTOS firmware.
• Exposure to DSP/NPU firmware and BSP development.
