Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer RDK-B

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in RDK-B platform development to design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for gateway devices and communication systems. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in C/C++, Linux system programming, networking protocols, and embedded software development, along with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for gateway devices and communication/data management systems.
• Develop and enhance solutions based on the RDK-B platform.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve complex issues in embedded systems.
• Develop software specifications, technical documentation, and design documents.
• Participate in code reviews, integration testing, and release activities.
• Optimize software performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Follow software development best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with the RDK-B platform (preferred).
• Strong programming expertise in C/C++.
• Hands-on experience with Linux system programming, multithreading, and IPC mechanisms.
• Experience working with CCSP, HAL, and Yocto build systems.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols including:
• TCP/IP
• DHCP
• DNS
• IPv4/IPv6
• Experience with development and debugging tools such as:
• Git
• Gerrit
• Jenkins
• Wireshark
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with broadband gateway technologies such as:
• DOCSIS
• GPON
• LTE/5G
• Ethernet
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi 802.11 standards.
• Exposure to prpl and GStreamer frameworks.
• Experience in gateway software architecture and networking stacks.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Role & responsibilities
