Embedded Software Developer

Key Skills: STB, C++, Linux, Embedded C

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software components for Linux-based set-top box products.
• Implement C++ modules supporting device functionality, platform integration, and customer-facing product features.
• Analyze software issues, perform root-cause investigations, and deliver robust fixes across embedded environments.
• Integrate application and platform components with underlying STB hardware and Linux system services.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, technical documentation, and product release activities.

Skills Required:

• 4 to 7 years of relevant embedded software development experience.
• Strong professional experience developing production software in C++.
• Hands-on development experience with Linux-based embedded systems.
• Direct experience developing software for set-top box (STB) products or platforms.
• Understanding of embedded product architecture, system integration, debugging, and software lifecycle practices.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Embedded C development in consumer electronics or embedded products.

Education: B.E., B.Tech, BCA, M.Tech, M.E., or M.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
