Embedded C/ C++ Linux Developer/Specialist - Automotive domain

Role Overview

• Understand the system requirements, discuss with the system team, and prepare software requirements.
• Analyze the existing code based on software requirements, create the design, prepare test plans, implement code changes, and perform testing.
• Review code developed by the team, support the team in identifying the root cause of bugs, and review proposed fixes.
• Analyze issues reported by various validation teams, identify the root cause, and propose possible solutions.
• Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings, customer meetings, and global customer meetings.

Expectations

• Strong development experience in Embedded C/ C++, C++11, and C++14.
• 4+ years of experience in developing software for Linux-based embedded systems.
• Good practical knowledge of OOPS concepts.
• Understanding of different UML diagrams.
• Ability to write clean code from scratch.
• Strong debugging skills to identify and resolve memory and performance issues.
• Good practical knowledge of design patterns and design principles.

Good to Have

• Experience in on-board debugging.
• Knowledge of CAN and J1939 protocols.
• Exposure to DevOps and JavaScript.
• Strong on-board debugging expertise.
• Off-Highway domain expertise.
