EM - DI - Functional Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Functional Safety - System Level: Own and drive the end-to-end Functional Safety V-cycle at system and vehicle level.
• Perform Item Definition, Impact Analysis, HARA, FSC, and TSC.
• Develop and maintain safety case arguments and ensure assessment readiness.
• Drive system safety validation and verification.
• Coordinate Functional Safety activities across multiple ECUs and suppliers.
• Functional Safety - Component Level: Own component-level Functional Safety work products (HW/SW).
• Align supplier safety deliverables with Daimler requirements.
• Support component verification, testing concepts, and anomaly analysis.
• Ensure safety requirement traceability.
• Support or participate in supplier reviews and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Proven experience in automotive Functional safety domain.
