About this role
Job Description (ELK admin Lvl1) in brief including Roles Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor Elasticsearch cluster health and performance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as index optimization and shard management.
2. Logstash Configuration:
- Configure Logstash pipelines to ingest and process log data from various sources.
- Troubleshoot and debug Logstash configuration issues.
3. Kibana Dashboard Management:
- Create and manage Kibana dashboards for visualization of log data.
- Assist users in building custom visualizations and searches.
4. User Support:
- Provide Level 1 support for ELK-related issues.
- Assist users in querying and analyzing data using Elasticsearch and Kibana.
5. Documentation:
- Maintain documentation for ELK configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
6. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate ELK stack into existing systems.
- Communicate effectively with developers and other stakeholders.
Mandatory Skills required for the role:
1. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana administration.
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting.
2. Troubleshooting:
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
3. Communication:
- Good communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
4. Team Player:
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
5. Documentation Skills:
- Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and concise records.
