    • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and product development activities throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Support continuous improvement of hardware development processes, engineering tools, and technical standards.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support component development activities.
    • Utilize engineering software and simulation tools to evaluate hardware designs and improve product performance and reliability.
    • Contribute to project planning, execution, and delivery while meeting quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
    • Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical guidance within the engineering team.
    • Ensure compliance with Cummins engineering processes, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

    Skills and Experience Needed

    • Entry-level or early-career engineering experience in electronic hardware development through internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or relevant industry experience.
    • Understanding of electronic hardware design, circuit analysis, sensors, actuators, control modules, wiring systems, and embedded hardware.
    • Experience using engineering design methodologies such as DFMEA, PFMEA, circuit simulation, schematic capture, and requirements analysis.
    • Knowledge of hardware validation, testing methodologies, and engineering documentation practices.
    • Familiarity with electronic test equipment, laboratory tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause investigation skills.
    • Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and electronic schematics.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; exposure to electronic design and simulation tools is preferred.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a collaborative engineering environment.
