Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and licensed Electrician with experience in the MEP field to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting activities at construction project sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical works are executed safely and in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and applicable electrical regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute electrical installation works as per approved electrical drawings and project specifications.
• Install and maintain electrical wiring, conduits, cable trays, trunking, and cable routing systems.
• Perform cable laying, cable dressing, termination, and glanding for electrical systems.
• Perform electrical testing, including insulation resistance and continuity tests, using appropriate instruments.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out necessary rectification work.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, supervisors, technicians, and other site teams to complete work as per schedule.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, permit-to-work procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements where applicable.
• Use electrical tools, testing instruments, and personal protective equipment properly.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and records of completed electrical work.
• Report material shortages, installation issues, and unsafe conditions to the electrical supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• ITI in Electrician trade or Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Previous experience in electrical installation and maintenance within the MEP or construction industry.
• A valid electrical licence, workman permit.
• Practical knowledge of electrical wiring, cable termination, earthing, and electrical equipment installation.
• Experience working with commercial buildings, residential projects, or industrial facilities is an advantage.
