Electrical Secondary Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and review Protection & Control systems for HV/EHV substations.
• Prepare and review Relay & Metering Online Diagrams, Protection Logic and Interlock Logic Diagrams.
• Prepare AC Three-Line/Elementary, TFR, PSE and Synchro Check interfacing drawings.
• Prepare and review SAS, SOE, SCADA, TFR and DSM point lists.
• Work on IEC 61850 communication and SAS architecture.
• Prepare GA, BOM, schematic and interconnection drawings for Control & Protection Panels and LCCs.
• Handle cable BOQ, cable laying schedules and termination/interconnection schedules.
• Perform CT/VT and Metrosil sizing calculations.
• Coordinate with primary equipment, suppliers, procurement and site teams.
• Support FAT activities and resolve technical/site issues.
• Handle SAP PR and BOM-related activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in 13.8 kV to 765 kV substations.
• Experience with GIS/AIS systems and Single Bus, Double Bus and One-and-a-Half Breaker arrangements.
• Experience with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), National Grid Saudi Arabia, or similar utility projects is preferred
