Electrical Manager

Job Summary:

The Electrical Manager leads electrical infrastructure and equipment-power integration for the manufacturing facility from engineering review through testing, energization, commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Engineering Management

• Review SLDs, load lists, equipment power requirements, layouts, cable schedules and technical specifications.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces for furnaces, process equipment, utilities and facility systems.
• Review contractor/vendor submissions and resolve technical queries.

Project & Site Execution

• Lead execution of HT/LT distribution, transformers, switchgear, MCC/PCC, UPS/emergency systems, cabling, earthing and lighting as applicable.
• Coordinate cable trays/routes and electrical work fronts with other disciplines.
• Monitor contractors, manpower, materials, quality, safety and schedule.

Testing, Energization & Handover

• Ensure testing of transformers, panels, cables, protection systems and earthing is completed and documented.
• Coordinate safe energization procedures, permits and commissioning priorities.
• Drive punch closure, statutory compliance and final handover documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Experience

• 10-15 years of industrial electrical project experience.
• Experience in large manufacturing/process facilities and equipment energization is preferred.

Technical Skills

• HT/LT distribution, transformers, switchgear, MCC/PCC, protection, cabling and earthing.
• SLD/load-list review, testing, energization and commissioning.
• Contractor management, electrical safety and statutory coordination.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination.
• Structured problem-solving and risk management.
• Clear communication during critical energization activities.

Key Deliverables / KPIs

• Power infrastructure milestones and safe energization achieved.
• Testing/protection records completed and accepted.
• Power availability aligned with equipment commissioning priorities.
• Electrical punch/statutory closure and handover.
