Electrical Maintenance In-charge/ Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Manpower & Resource Coordination: Coordinate electrical maintenance manpower for optimum equipment availability, manpower planning, job scheduling, and work execution.
• Power Management & Monitoring: Record and analyze daily power readings to monitor energy usage and efficiency across PP3 operations.
• Spares Management: Oversee electrical spare parts planning, stock management, and procurement requisitions to prevent plant downtime.
• Work Permit Authority: Possess the authority to delegate clearance for work permits.
• Safety Accountability: Accountable for the safety of all electrical maintenance indirect manpower in PP3.
• Environmental & Hazard Control: Authorized and responsible for stopping any unsafe act or surrounding condition that could lead to an environmental or safety incident then and there

Preferred candidate profile

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with extensive plant experience

Primary: Iron & Steel plants, Pellet Plants (PP), Sinter Plants, Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) / Sponge Iron, or Blast Furnaces.

• Electrical Systems Maintenance: Expertise in HT/LT switchgears, transformers, MCC/PCC panels, motors, VFDs, HT/LT circuit breakers, and power distribution systems.
• Power Monitoring & Reading: Daily monitoring and auditing of power consumption, electrical load management, and power readings.
• Spares & Inventory Control: Strategic planning and management of critical electrical spares, fuses, relays, drives, and control cables.
• Safety & Work Permit Systems: Strong knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards, Isolation/LOTO procedures, Permit-to-Work (PTW) delegation, and arc-flash hazard protection.
