JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Sr. Engineer/ Asst. Manager
Department: Engineering

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: B.E. / B.Tech. (Electrical/ Instrumentation)
Experience:7 to 12 years

Specific Industry Experience:
Material Handling / Conveyor Systems with exposure to Electrical,
Instrumentation, Automation and Control Systems

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Design and develop electrical and control systems for various material handling and conveyor systems.
Prepare electrical engineering deliverables including BOMs, cable sizing, cable layouts, ducting layouts, sensor layouts and I/O lists.
Prepare technical specifications and purchase requirements for Electrical & Instrumentation components as per customer requirements.
Review, inspect and test electrical/control panels prior to dispatch and installation.
Select suitable field instruments and wiring components including sensors, switches, junction boxes, relays and related items.
Coordinate and supervise installation and commissioning of Electrical & Instrumentation systems at site.
Coordinate with customers and internal functions to understand technical requirements and resolve Electrical & Instrumentation-related issues.
Conduct site visits for application studies and support technical evaluation of project requirements.
Ensure engineering activities and documentation are carried out in accordance with applicable ISO and OHSAS procedures.
Provide technical support for basic PLC/control-system requirements related to material-handling applications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Electrical & Control System Design for material handling equipment such as Slat Conveyors,Overhead Conveyors, Grippers, Sliders and Tables
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing I/O Lists, Cable sizing, sensor selection & layout
