About this role
Role & responsibilities
* Assist in the installation of electrical systems and equipment onboard ships and in shipyards.
* Carry out electrical cable laying, routing, dressing, termination, and cable gland installation.
* Assist in electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning of ship electrical systems.
* Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and other electrical tests as required.
* Identify and rectify electrical installation issues during testing and commissioning.
* Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and equipment-related issues.
* Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules.
* Coordinate with electrical engineers, supervisors, technicians, and other shipyard teams.
* Follow shipyard safety procedures, electrical safety standards, and work permit requirements.
* Maintain proper documentation of installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

B.TECH/DIPLOMA/ITI - ELECTRICAL
