Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day electrical site execution and supervision as per approved drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications.
• Read, interpret, and understand electrical layouts and engineering drawings.
• Prepare, modify, and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD 2D.
• Prepare quantity estimates, measurement sheets, and running account (RA) bills.
• Verify contractor bills against actual site measurements, BOQ quantities, and executed work.
• Calculate quantities of electrical wiring, cables, conduits, lighting fixtures, panels, earthing, and other electrical items.
• Monitor site progress, material consumption, workmanship, and execution quality.
• Coordinate with contractors, electricians, vendors, consultants, and project management teams.
• Prepare extra-item statements, variation statements, and quantity reconciliation reports.
• Maintain daily progress reports, billing records, and project documentation.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and coordinate for necessary clarification.
• Ensure electrical works comply with approved specifications and applicable safety standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Preferred experience of 2 to 7 years in electrical site execution, billing, and estimation.
• Must have good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Practical experience in quantity estimation, measurement sheets, RA billing, and contractor bill verification.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for quantity calculations, billing, and documentation.
• Experience in building construction, commercial buildings, institutional projects, renovation, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
• Should be capable of independently managing electrical execution and billing activities.
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work at project sites and coordinate with site teams as required.
