Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in electrical project execution for water infrastructure, water treatment plants (WTP), sewage treatment plants (STP), pumping stations and EPC projects.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical installation, testing, commissioning and execution activities at project sites under AMRUT 2.0 and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation and execution works at project sites, including water treatment plants (WTPs), sewage treatment plants (STPs) and pumping stations.
• Handle installation, testing and commissioning of HT/LT panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, transformers, motors, pumps and electrical distribution systems.
• Coordinate the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment for water supply and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, layout drawings and technical specifications.
• Monitor cable laying, cable termination, earthing, lighting, power distribution and electrical equipment installation.
• Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, civil and project teams to ensure timely execution of project activities.
• Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety standards, project specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain daily progress reports, site records, inspection reports, material records and testing documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and vendors for inspections, approvals and commissioning activities.
• Monitor manpower, materials and site activities to achieve project milestones within the scheduled timeline.
• Support preparation of BOQs, material requisitions, as-built drawings and technical documentation, as required.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical execution for infrastructure, water supply, WTP, STP, pumping station or industrial projects.
• Practical knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems, motors, pumps, MCC panels, transformers and cable installation.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and understand installation, testing and commissioning procedures.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, earthing systems, testing instruments and quality documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge will be an advantage.
• Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.
