Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

To take complete responsibility for the electrical systems, power distribution, electrical maintenance, safety, statutory compliance, and uninterrupted electrical operations of the entire factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all electrical systems and installations across the factory.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply to production, utilities, offices, and other facilities.
• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, MCCs, PCCs, motors, pumps, compressors, lighting, and other electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize machine and production downtime.
• Supervise electrical technicians, electricians, contractors, and external service providers.
• Monitor electrical energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy saving.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records, logbooks, inspection reports, and equipment history.
• Ensure proper earthing, electrical protection systems, and periodic testing of electrical installations.
• Coordinate with electricity board and other statutory authorities for electrical-related requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety rules, factory requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Plan electrical new installations, modifications, and machine electrical connections.
• Verify electrical drawings, cable sizing, load requirements, and installation standards.
• Ensure electrical safety practices, including LOTO and safe working procedures.
• Maintain adequate electrical spares and coordinate procurement of required materials.
• Support audits, inspections, and statutory electrical inspections. - Any other electrical and maintenance responsibilities assigned by management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Contractor License
• 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/factory environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and electrical safety.
• Experience in handling HT/LT electrical systems will be an advantage.
