Electrical Engineer

Maintenance Activities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Handle operation and maintenance of HT/LT panels, MCC (Motor Control Centers), PCC (Power Control Centers), and control panels.
• Troubleshoot faults in motors, transformers, switchgear, and electrical distribution systems.
• Ensure timely resolution of electrical breakdowns to minimize production loss.

Installation & Site Work

• Carry out cable laying, glanding, and termination work as per standards.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Ensure proper routing and dressing of cables in panels and field.

Testing & Troubleshooting

• Use testing instruments like Multimeter, Megger, and Clamp meter for diagnostics.
• Identify insulation faults, short circuits, overloads, and earth leakage issues.
• Perform load balancing and basic electrical measurements.

Documentation & Safety

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Ensure all maintenance activities follow electrical safety standards and SOPs.
• Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and checklists.
• Follow lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures and workplace safety rules.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Ability to operate and interpret results from:
• Multimeter
• Megger (insulation tester)
• Clamp meter

• Understanding of HT/LT systems and industrial switchgear.

• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
