Electrical Engineer - Training Department

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a technically competent and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Training Department. The candidate will be responsible for delivering theoretical and practical electrical training to employees, technicians, customers, and other relevant personnel on drilling rig electrical systems, VFD drives, motors, electrical panels, power distribution, and control systems.

The role involves developing training modules, conducting classroom and hands-on sessions, evaluating trainee performance, and ensuring a thorough understanding of electrical equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom, practical, simulator-based, and onsite electrical training.
• Deliver training on VFD drives, electrical motors, panels, power distribution, and control systems.
• Explain electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Train personnel on electrical troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Develop and update technical training modules, presentations, and manuals.
• Evaluate trainee performance and maintain training records and reports.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Service, and HSE teams for training requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of VFDs, electrical motors, panels, and control systems.
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Good communication, presentation, and technical training skills.
• Oil & Gas, drilling rigs, workover rigs, or heavy machinery experience will be an added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 35 years of experience in VFDs, motors, electrical panels, troubleshooting, and technical training; Oil & Gas or drilling rig experience preferred.
