Electrical & ELV Estimation Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE
Department: MEP / Alternate Manufacturing Facility (AMF)
Reporting To: Estimation Manager

Job Purpose

To prepare accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and techno-commercial proposals for Electrical and ELV systems in construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract requirements.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for Electrical and ELV systems.
• Estimate costs for:
• Power distribution systems
• Lighting systems
• Fire alarm systems
• CCTV systems
• Access control systems
• Structured cabling systems
• Public address systems
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Other low-current systems
• Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Analyze supplier quotations and prepare comparative statements.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, planning, and project teams during bidding stages.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering proposals.
• Assist in budget preparation and project cost forecasting.
• Maintain estimation databases and historical cost records.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Electrical & ELV estimation within building construction/MEP projects.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Electrical & ELV quantity take-off.
• BOQ preparation and rate analysis.
• Tendering and estimation processes.
• AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of UAE electrical standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with ERP/estimation software will be an advantage.
