Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in electrical engineering, PLC cabinet design, industrial automation, and site commissioning. The candidate will be responsible for electrical design, component selection, technical documentation, factory acceptance testing, and commissioning support for industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design PLC cabinets, electrical schematics, and field wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8.
• Prepare electrical layouts and drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform electrical power and load calculations, cable sizing, and cable tray planning.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and select electrical components for project requirements.
• Specify Siemens PLC hardware and work with industrial communication networks.
• Coordinate with cabinet suppliers and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Perform electrical testing, including Megger and high-voltage testing, as applicable.
• Support PLC hardware and drive configuration, I/O testing, installation supervision, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Coordinate with project teams and international stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience with EPLAN Electric P8.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of electrical power and control systems.
• Experience with PLC cabinets, control panels, sensors, actuators, and field wiring.
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware and industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, TCP/IP, serial communication, and AS-i.
• Understanding of electrical drawings, power/load calculations, cable sizing, BOMs, and power distribution.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in industrial automation, material handling, conveyor systems, or machine building.
• Exposure to cabinet FAT, electrical testing, installation supervision, and commissioning.
• Experience working with international project teams.

Education and Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical design, industrial automation, or project engineering.
