Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer with experience in Data Centre projects to support the design and delivery of mission-critical facilities. The role involves designing electrical infrastructure from concept through detailed engineering, ensuring compliance with international standards, client requirements, and project objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver reliable, scalable, and energy-efficient electrical systems for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centers.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Design

• Design and develop electrical systems for data center facilities, including:
• Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems
• Transformers
• DG generators
• UPS systems and battery systems
• Switchgear and distribution boards
• Earthing and lightning protection systems
• Lighting and small power systems
• Prepare concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction drawings.
• Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit studies, voltage drop analysis, and power system coordination.
• Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.

Engineering Coordination

• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, ICT, and architectural disciplines.
• Participate in design review meetings and technical workshops.
• Support BIM/Revit coordination activities and clash-resolution processes.

Technical Documentation

• Prepare design reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation.
• Review vendor submittals and contractor shop drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Maintain high-quality engineering deliverables and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-12 years of experience in electrical design.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Data Centre projects preferred.
• Experience covering MV/LV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and critical electrical infrastructure
