Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, and control circuit drawings.
• Design and engineer electrical control panels, MCC panels, PLC panels, and power distribution panels.
• Prepare panel layout drawings, GA drawings, terminal plans, cable schedules, and interconnection diagrams.
• Perform load calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit calculations, and voltage drop analysis.
• Select electrical components such as breakers, relays, contactors, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and protection devices.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.
• Develop electrical drawings using tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Zuken E3, SEE Electrical, or similar CAD software.
• Review and validate electrical designs to ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, UL, and customer standards.
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electrical systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical, manufacturing, procurement, and project teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage engineering changes through ECR, ECO, and ECN processes.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during production and installation phases.
