Electrical Design Engineer (MEP)

Role Overview

The Junior Electrical Design Engineer will support senior engineers in developing electrical MEP design documentation. This role is hands-on and technical, offering exposure to electrical design calculations, drafting, coordination, and learning end-to-end MEP design workflows within a consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing electrical layouts, power distribution drawings, and lighting layouts
• Perform basic load calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations under guidance
• Prepare electrical schedules, legends, panel schedules, and BOQs
• Support development of SLDs and schematic diagrams
• Coordinate electrical layouts with HVAC and Plumbing services
• Revise drawings based on coordination comments, design reviews, and client inputs
• Learn and apply applicable electrical codes, standards, and best design practices Skills & Competencies
• Fundamental understanding of electrical systems in buildings
• Strong drafting and documentation skills
• Willingness to learn MEP coordination and technical design processes

Tools & Software

• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Revit MEP (preferred)

Experience & Qualification

• Fresher to 5 years of experience in Electrical Design (MEP)
• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• MEP Course Completion
