Electrical Design & Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Design & Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Creating and developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Designing control system architectures and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Selecting suitable switchgear, sensors, feedback components, and power supplies for project requirements.
• Collaborating with the mechanical design team on concept development, I/O planning, and choosing appropriate sensors and motors.
• Developing, integrating, and troubleshooting PLC, HMI, Servo Drive, and VFD systems.
• Conducting installation, testing, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Diagnosing and optimizing control logic to enhance performance, reliability, and safety.
• Preparing detailed technical documentation, including control logic diagrams, I/O lists, and commissioning reports.
• Maintaining comprehensive electrical documentation, tracking design revisions, and managing change processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
• 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, automation, and control systems.
• Programming experience with Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Delta, and Inovance PLCs and HMIs.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus TCP.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Willingness to work in shifts based on production requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple automation projects under tight deadlines.
