Job Overview:
The Learning Enrichment Programme envisions all children in our communities have access to quality education and grow up to realize their full potential. The project focuses on providing opportunities for holistic development to children from underserved communities by equipping the school with the necessary resources and training for a conducive learning environment. The programme will support 1 school in Vizag, Rambilli Mandal.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage activities and deliverables of United Way Mumbai s Learning Enrichment Programme.
- Conduct daily remedial classes for children in schools assigned to you.
- Create grade-level lesson plans and worksheets based on the subjects and grades assigned to you.
- Contribute towards enabling the children to reach grade-level mastery through in-class support.
- Contribute towards the holistic development of the children through conducting regular and/or needs-based meetings with parents/guardians.
- Conduct regular home visits.
- Garner support from parents for their participation in various project activities.
- Document the project activities and outcomes on regular basis and submit the project status report to United Way Mumbai as per the committed timelines.
Profile Requisites:
- Master s/Bachelor s degree in Social Sciences/ Education (specialization in Education will be preferred, to teach Math and English subject to grade 6-8).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in teaching at schools or other educational centres.
- A dynamic and versatile person who can easily connect and effectively work with internal and external stakeholders of the project.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Efficient in community outreach and mobilization.
- Must be efficient in communicating in English/Hindi and Telugu.
- Candidate must be a team player willing to travel to implement program activities.
Remuneration - Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the consultancy fees range is INR 22,000 to 25,000 per month.
