Key Responsibilities:

Senior Healthcare QA Tester Claims | EDI | Enrollment | Application Testing

Experience7+ years QA experience, including 4+ years in US Healthcare domain testing.

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare QA Tester with strong expertise in Healthcare Claims, Enrollment & Benefits (E&B), and EDI transactions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing healthcare payer applications, validating end-to-end business workflows, performing functional and integration testing, and ensuring high-quality delivery across web, API, and database layers.

The candidate should be capable of independently analysing requirements, creating test scenarios and cases, executing complex validations, and collaborating effectively with business, product, development, and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Healthcare Domain Testing•
• Validate end-to-end healthcare workflows across claims intake, pricing, adjudication, payment, enrollment, eligibility, benefits, provider, and member modules.•
• Test healthcare payer applications and ensure accurate data flow across upstream and downstream integrations. EDI Testing•
• Validate EDI transactions including 834, 837P/837I/837D, 835, 270/271, 276/277, and 820.•
• Perform EDI file validation, mapping verification, transformation testing, data integrity checks, and reconciliation. Functional & Application Testing•
• Review business requirements and user stories; create test scenarios, test cases, and traceability matrices.• Execute functional, system, integration, regression, UAT support, and end-to-end testing.•
• Validate workflows across web applications, APIs, interfaces, and databases; identify and track defects through closure. Data Validation & Reporting•
• Perform backend validation using SQL for claims, enrollment, provider, member, and payment data.•
• Prepare test execution status, quality metrics, release readiness updates, and support defect triage/root cause analysis. Agile Collaboration•
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.•
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Operations, and QA stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Skill Area Expected Capability Healthcare Domain Claims processing, claims adjudication, member enrollment, benefits administration, eligibility, provider and member management, payment and remittance workflows.
• EDI Expertise Hands-on testing of 834, 835, 837, 270/271, 276/277, and 820 transactions.
• Testing Skills Test planning, test design, functional, integration, regression, end-to-end testing, defect management, and test execution reporting.
• Technical Skills SQL/database validation, API testing using Postman/SOAP/REST, and familiarity with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, qTest, ALM, or TestRail.
• Methodologies Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect lifecycle management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with healthcare payer platforms such as HealthRules Payer, or Medicaid/Medicare systems.•
• Experience working with onshore-offshore delivery teams.
• Education• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
