About this role
- Assist the Early Years Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities in line with the IB curriculum.
- Support children's learning through play-based and inquiry-based activities.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide individual attention and support to children based on their learning needs.
- Assist with classroom preparation, learning materials, displays, and resources.
- Support children's social, emotional, language, and physical development.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions.
- Encourage children's independence, creativity, curiosity, and participation.
- Observe children's progress and share relevant feedback with the lead teacher.
- Support classroom routines, positive behaviour, and conflict resolution.
- Communicate professionally with teachers, parents, and other staff as required.
- Follow school policies, child safeguarding procedures, health and safety guidelines, and IB practices.
- Assist with classroom events, celebrations, field trips, and other school activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure the wellbeing and safety of all children.
