About this role
E-COMMERCE & WEBSITE MANAGER
About Green Tailor
Green Tailor is a small and growing company dedicated to developing sustainable, ready-to-dye (blank)
textiles and products. We work closely with natural dyers, textile makers and conscious customers
internationally. Our products are designed to give makers high-quality, versatile materials that they can
transform through natural dyeing and other creative processes. We are a hands-on, entrepreneurial team
where people are expected to take ownership, learn quickly and contribute practically to the growth of the
company.
Our philosophy
We care about sustainability, quality, usefulness and honest communication. We are not a mass-market
company and we do not want to communicate like a conventional e-commerce brand. Our customers are
often knowledgeable makers and natural dyers, and building trust and long-term relationships matters more to
us than aggressive selling. We value curiosity, authenticity, creativity, initiative and the ability to understand
our products before communicating about them.
Role overview
We are looking for an organised, reliable and proactive E-commerce & Website Manager to take ownership of
the day-to-day operation of our websites. The role is focused on making sure our online stores work smoothly,
products and information are accurate, group orders are properly prepared and monitored, and our external
development team is coordinated efficiently.
Main responsibilities
•
Manage the WordPress/WooCommerce back end of Green Tailor, Fibre Bio and three group-order
websites.
•
•
Create and update products, prices, categories, images, stock information and website content.
Regularly test website functionality, including mobile experience, product pages, checkout, payments and
customer emails.
•
•
•
Prepare, test and manage each group-order website before launch and throughout the order period.
Maintain clear checklists and processes for recurring group orders so that nothing important is missed.
Act as the main day-to-day contact with our external development agency (Appycode): explain
requirements, follow up tasks, test completed work and ensure issues are resolved.
•
•
Identify website problems proactively rather than waiting for customers or the team to report them.
Work closely with the Content & Communications Manager to ensure campaigns, launches and new
content are correctly implemented on the websites.
Prepare regular website and e-commerce reports covering sales, orders, traffic, conversion, products and
key issues.
Turn reporting into useful observations and recommendations for the team.

•
Around 35 years of relevant experience, ideally with WordPress and WooCommerce.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Comfortable managing an e-commerce back end independently.
Good understanding of online customer experience and basic digital analytics.
Able to communicate clearly with an external development/technical team.
Good English, both written and spoken.
Proactive: someone who notices problems and opportunities without needing constant instructions.
Coding is NOT required. Basic technical understanding is a plus.
The person we want
We are looking for someone dependable and hands-on who enjoys taking ownership. You should be
comfortable in a small company where responsibilities are broad and where you may need to solve a problem
yourself before escalating it. You should care about doing things properly rather than simply completing a
checklist.
Important fit
This is not a purely administrative role. We need someone who takes responsibility for the websites as if they
were their own work, follows through with developers and the internal team, and is genuinely interested in
e-commerce and digital products.
