Duty Officer (Operations)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Duty Officer Operations to manage day-to-day cinema operations and ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the property. The role involves shift management, team coordination, customer service, cash and stock control, staff training, and maintaining operational standards.

Role & responsibilities :

• Manage daily cinema operations during assigned shifts, including opening and closing activities.
• Ensure smooth functioning of all operational areas and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor cash handling, stock management and shortage control as per company guidelines.
• Lead and coordinate frontline teams to ensure effective manpower utilisation and productivity.
• Conduct staff briefing, on-the-job training and regular performance monitoring.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure prompt resolution of customer queries and complaints.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety and overall property presentation.
• Monitor operational processes and identify opportunities for improving productivity and efficiency.
• Coordinate with the Cinema Manager and other departments for effective execution of business and operational activities.
• Handle operational issues and escalate critical matters to the appropriate authority.
• Ensure proper handover and takeover of responsibilities between shifts.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and deliver a positive guest experience.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Graduate in any discipline.
• 13 years of experience in Hospitality, Retail, QSR, Entertainment or similar customer-facing operations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong team-handling and coordination skills.
• Customer-oriented approach with good problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable working in rotational shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Candidates with experience in Cinema / Multiplex Operations will be preferred.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.
