Qualification: B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 37 Years
Industry: EPC Projects, Cement, Dry Mix Mortar, Sand & Aggregate Processing, Powder Handling.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design dust extraction and filtration systems for industrial process plants.
2. Calculate airflow requirements, duct sizes, conveying velocities and pressure losses.
3. Design and select bag filters, cartridge filters, cyclones and dust collection equipment.
4. Calculate filtration area, air-to-cloth ratio, filter bag quantity and cleaning air requirements.
5. Select ID fans and blowers based on airflow, static pressure and motor power.
6. Prepare ducting layouts, GA drawings, fabrication drawings .
7. Prepare engineering calculation sheets, technical specifications, BOM and equipment datasheets.
8. Coordinate with vendors, manufacturing, project and site execution teams.
9. Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements and project specifications.

Required Technical Skills

• Dust extraction and industrial ventilation system design
• Bag filter, cyclone and ducting calculations
• Fan selection and pressure-drop calculations
• Sheet metal fabrication and mechanical design
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks / Inventor and MS Excel
• Understanding of ACGIH, applicable IS standards and relevant NFPA requirements
