Job Description -Drive Engineer

We are looking for a Drive Engineer with 35 years of hands-on experience in engineering, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering, configuration and commissioning of VFDs and motor control systems.
• Troubleshooting and technical support for drive-related issues at customer sites.
• Carry out retrofits and upgrades of existing drive systems.
• Integration of drives with PLC/DCS and industrial automation systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Support sales/service teams with technical solutions for upgrades, service contracts and drive spares.
• Coordinate with plant maintenance and project teams at customer sites.
• Identify opportunities for VFD upgrades and replacements.

Candidate Requirements:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant VFD experience.
• Knowledge of Profibus, Ethernet/IP and Modbus.
• Experience with PLC/DCS integration.
• Exposure to ABB VFDs preferred.
• Experience in Sugar, Power, Cement or Metal industries preferred.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites for commissioning and technical support. Job Description -Drive Engineer
