Drama Teacher

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging theatre, drama, and performing arts classes for students.
• Teach acting techniques, voice modulation, facial expressions, body language, and stage presence.
• Prepare students for school plays, stage performances, annual functions, and cultural events.
• Develop students creativity, imagination, confidence, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Organize rehearsals and guide students in dialogue delivery, script reading, and character development.
• Create age-appropriate scripts, role-play activities, and improvisation exercises.
• Manage stage activities, costumes, props, and basic stage arrangements.
• Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active participation from all students.
• Collaborate with teachers and school management for events and extracurricular activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Theatre, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience as a Theatre Teacher, Drama Instructor, Acting Coach, or Performing Arts Teacher preferred.
• Strong knowledge of acting, stage performance, voice projection, and movement techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work with students across different age groups.
• Creative, energetic, patient, and passionate about performing arts.
• Experience in organizing school plays, annual functions, and stage productions is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school management.
• Comfortable with a six-day working week, as per school requirements.
