Job Summary

We are the developer and owner of a prestigious 5-Star Hotel Development in Accra, Ghana, executing the project directly through labour contractors and directly procured materials. We are looking for an experienced site-based Quantity Surveyor to act as our in-house commercial authority on the project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project activities and ensuring that work is completed in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, timelines, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities related to the assigned discipline.
• Ensure project works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed within the agreed timelines.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure workmanship meets the required standards.
• Prepare progress reports, site records, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
• Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover activities as required.
• Ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's/Diploma degree in the relevant engineering or technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years and maximum 9 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in hotel, hospitality, commercial, or large-scale building projects will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction/project execution processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multicultural project teams.
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
• Willingness to relocate/work in Accra, Ghana for the project duration.
