Designation: Dpt. / Manager Air Sales
Reporting into: Regional Manager / Commercial Manager Sales
Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose: Build market position for Orchid Shipping in Air Freight industry by developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business deals with clients/agents.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Air Freight Sales role involves promoting and selling air freight services to businesses and clients. This role typically requires a strong understanding of logistics, air freight operations, and customer relationship management.
He/ She will ensure that OSPL meets its Air Freight business objectives by gaining new customers, driving customer growth, retaining existing customers and working towards continuous value addition to the customers.

Accountabilities:

•Achieving Sales target for Air Freight from free hand sales for the Region.
•Budget preparations, sales plan, and execution of management sales strategies.
•Achieve sales goals through hands on market planning, personal sales execution, and development of business relationships with key customers, new business, and retention
•Cooperate with the various operations departments to provide follow-up services as needed by the customers.
•Generate new business by identifying potential clients and creating sales strategies.
•Manage existing accounts, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.
•Research and identify new market trends, customer needs, and industry developments.
•Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with clients to close sales.
•Meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals.
•Ensuring timely collection of all outstanding dues as per agreed credit terms.

Skills & Qualifications:

•Proven experience in sales, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
•Strong communication and negotiation skills.
•In-depth knowledge of air freight operations, including international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
•Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills.
•Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
•Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education & Experience:
•Bachelors degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
•Previous experience in air freight sales or a similar role is preferred.
