Key Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy .NET Framework applications to identify and resolve IIS dependencies, local file-system couplings, and configuration patterns.
• Refactor and upgrade applications from legacy .NET Framework to modern .NET 8/10 using automated refactoring tools (e.g., Amazon Q, AWS Toolkit) alongside manual code adjustments.
• Modify application source code to swap Azure-specific dependencies (Azure Key Vault, Azure Service Bus SDKs) with AWS-native services (AWS Secrets Manager, Amazon SNS/SQS).
• Conduct performance tuning and query optimization for applications migrating to an AWS RDS SQL Server backend.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience within the Microsoft ecosystem (.NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, IIS).
• Deep, hands-on experience refactoring legacy .NET apps to cross-platform .NET Core / .NET 8+.
• Experience moving applications from Windows Server environments to Linux-based container images.
• Experience integrating applications with messaging systems (SQS/SNS) and cloud secrets managers.
• Strong SQL profiling and query optimization skills for enterprise-scale Microsoft SQL Server databases.
