Role & responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to patients in emergency, OPD, and IP wards
• Conduct initial assessment, diagnosis, and stabilization of patients
• Handle emergency and critical cases until the consultant arrives
• Monitor in-patient progress and update treatment notes regularly
• Coordinate with consultants, nurses, and other departments for patient care
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge processes
• Ensure accurate medical documentation and case records
• Prescribe basic medications as per hospital protocols
• Respond promptly to code blue / emergency calls
• Maintain patient safety, hygiene, and clinical standards
• Communicate effectively with patients and attendants regarding condition and treatment
• Follow hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and legal regulations
