Role Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Distribution Management Implementation Consultant to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of distribution management solutions across FMCG, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, and Retail organizations. The role focuses on improving distributor operations, sales execution, inventory visibility, order-to-cash processes, and secondary sales tracking through technology-enabled transformation initiatives.

Job Profile (Detailed description of Role, Responsibilities and Functions)

• Distribution Process Assessment Transformation:
  • Analyze existing distributor and channel management processes across sales, inventory, order management, and claims management.
  • Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across the distribution network.
  • Develop future-state process models and implementation of roadmaps aligned with business objectives
• Solution Design Implementation :
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Distribution Management Systems (DMS).
  • Configure business processes covering distributor onboarding, order capture, billing integration, inventory management, and scheme execution.
  • Define business rules, workflows, approval mechanisms, and operational controls.
• Requirement Gathering Functional Consulting :
  • Conduct workshops with business stakeholders, sales teams, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
  • Support fit-gap analysis and recommend process standardization wherever applicable.
• System Integration Data Management :
  • Coordinate integration between DMS, ERP, CRM, SFA, and other enterprise applications.
  • Define master data requirements, data migration strategies, and validation processes.
  • Ensure seamless data flow for orders, inventory, sales, collection, and financial transactions.
• Channel Sales Enablement:
  • Enable visibility in primary and secondary sales performance.
  • Support implementation of sales schemes, trade promotions, incentive programs, and channel performance tracking.
  • Design reporting frameworks and dashboards for sales and distribution analytics.
• Testing Deployment Management:
  • Prepare test scenarios, business validation scripts, and user acceptance testing plans.
  • Coordinate deployment activities, cutover planning, and go-live support.
  • Ensure successful adoption with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Stakeholder Management Training :
  • Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, implementation partners, and distributors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct user training sessions and change management activities.
  • Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Governance Best Practices:
  • Establish implementation standards, templates, and governance frameworks.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
  • Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and organizational knowledge repositories.

Required Skills Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Distribution Management, Channel Management, or Sales Operations implementations.
• Strong understanding of distributor business processes including order management, inventory management, claims, collections, and sales execution.
• Experience implementing Distribution Management Systems (DMS) in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, or Retail industries.
• Strong business process mapping and requirement gathering skills.
• Experience with ERP integration and master data management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead workshops, training sessions, and user adoption activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with solutions such as Distributor Management Systems, Sales Force Automation (SFA), CRM, or Trade Promotion Management platforms.
• Exposure to SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Informatica, or related enterprise applications.
• Understanding of secondary sales reporting, route-to-market strategies, and channel analytics.
• PMP, Agile, SAP, or relevant functional certifications will be an advantage.
