Dispatch Incharge Job Description.

A dispatch in-charge manages daily shipping, routing, and logistics operations to ensure goods leave the facility safely and on time.

Daily Operations and Scheduling

• Coordinate shipments: Plan daily delivery schedules, assign vehicles, and book transport carriers.
• Verify paperwork: Create and check invoices, bills of loading, and challans for accuracy.
• Track transit: Monitor driver locations, route progress, and delivery times in real time.

Inventory and Record Keeping

• Manage stock: Track warehouse inventory levels and reconcile dispatched items with actual stock.
• Maintain logs: Keep precise digital and physical records of daily shipments, logs, and vendor reports.
• Report updates: Send daily and monthly dispatch summaries to management and operations heads.

Team and Safety Management

• Supervise staff: Lead dispatchers or warehouse team members, organize work rotas, and provide training.
• Ensure safety: Check that drivers and vehicles follow health regulations and company safety rules.
• Resolve issues: Address customer complaints, handle delivery delays, and fix scheduling conflicts.
