Discrete Event Simulation Engineer

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute Discrete Event Simulation (DES) models using Siemens Technomatix Plant Simulation.
• Analyze and optimize manufacturing systems, production lines, warehouse operations, and material flow processes.
• Evaluate and improve throughput, cycle time, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Model AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) systems and internal logistics processes.
• Perform simulation studies for capacity planning, layout validation, bottleneck identification, and process optimization.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, industrial engineering, logistics, and operations teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Prepare simulation reports, dashboards, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Validate simulation models against real-world operational data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 3 to 10 years of experience in Discrete Event Simulation.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Technomatix Plant Simulation.
• Strong understanding of Material Flow, Manufacturing Systems, Intralogistics, and AGV operations.
• Experience in factory planning, warehouse simulation, production planning, or logistics optimization.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain projects is preferred.
