Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and academic leadership for the respective engineering domain, ensuring excellence in program delivery and student outcomes
• Drive curriculum innovation aligned with industry requirements, emerging technologies, global practices, and future-ready skills
• Translate contemporary industry practices, technologies, and business challenges into meaningful learning experiences
• Mentor, develop, and lead high-performing faculty teams while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration
• Establish strong linkages with industry leaders, technology companies, professional bodies, policymakers, and global institutions
• Develop opportunities for internships, live projects, consulting assignments, applied research, industry certifications, and collaborative initiatives
• Lead program expansion through new specialisations, centres of excellence, industry partnerships, and institutional growth initiatives
• Strengthen student employability, entrepreneurship, innovation, and industry readiness
• Represent the institution at academic, industry, technology, and policy forums as a thought leader in the respective domain

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 15–20 years of overall professional experience across industry, academia, academic leadership, and/or administration, preferably including 7–10 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong domain expertise in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Industry experience in areas such as engineering operations, infrastructure, manufacturing, technology transformation, consulting, research and development, product development, project management, or industry–academia engagement
• Proven ability to lead change, build high-performing teams, inspire innovation, and shape a future-focused academic ecosystem
• Demonstrated strength in corporate partnerships, employability initiatives, applied research, technology adoption, and academic transformation will be a strong advantage
• Exposure to institutional growth, academic strategy, programme development, and stakeholder management will be preferred
• Experience in curriculum design, contemporary pedagogy, accreditation, quality assurance, and ranking frameworks will be an added advantage, though not mandatory
• Ability to bridge academia and industry by translating emerging engineering technologies and practices into meaningful student learning and institutional outcomes
