We are seeking a Director, Software Engineering to join our global Software Engineering team, where innovation knows no borders. This team drives ownership for product architecture, user interface (UI) applications and artificial intelligence (AI) systems. As Director, Software Engineering, you will oversee multiple engineering functions and high-availability product suites. You will manage through subordinate leaders, taking full human resources (HR) and budget responsibility while fostering an inclusive and balanced team environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who combines technical front-end expertise with strategic vision to challenge legacy processes and inspire commitment.

What you'll do Lead engineering aspects of a high-availability product suite and define technical strategy. Drive progressive migration plans from legacy UI stacks to modern frameworks to increase scalability. Manage budgets, resource capacity and performance objectives through subordinate leaders. Collaborate with distributed global teams across geographies to deliver enterprise-grade applications. Explore and adopt emerging technologies like Agentic AI to drive practical product innovation. Build an inclusive and balanced team environment that empowers diverse engineers to grow.

What you'll bring Minimum 10 years of software engineering leadership experience within a global eCommerce or enterprise environment. Experience managing through subordinate leaders with full HR and financial responsibility. Technical expertise in modern front-end stacks, full-stack open source languages and cloud technologies. Proven success delivering enterprise-grade, large-scale applications with a focus on performance and user experience. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and collaborate across distributed global environments. Practical experience using generative AI, Agentic AI or automation tools to improve software delivery productivity.
