Director - Finance Shared Services

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Director Finance Shared Services to lead and strengthen the Finance Shared Services function for a leading manufacturing organization.

The role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, process transformation, governance and service delivery across key finance processes. The incumbent will lead a sizeable finance team and partner closely with senior business and finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end Finance Shared Services operations, ensuring high-quality and timely service delivery.

- Oversee key finance processes including Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P/AP), Order-to-Cash (O2C/AR), General Ledger, reconciliations and financial close.

- Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement across finance processes.

- Establish strong governance frameworks, SLAs, KPIs and performance dashboards for the Shared Services function.

- Lead finance transformation initiatives involving process redesign, digitization and productivity improvement.

- Ensure robust internal controls, compliance and adherence to accounting and corporate policies.

- Partner with business finance, controllership and other stakeholders to improve service delivery and resolve operational challenges.

- Build, mentor and develop a high-performing Finance Shared Services team.

- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process consolidation and enhanced operational efficiency.

- Support transitions/migrations of finance processes into the Shared Services organization, as applicable.

Candidate Profile:

- 12 - 19 years of overall experience, with significant experience in Finance Shared Services / Global Business Services (GBS) / Finance Operations.

- Strong experience managing multiple finance processes such as R2R, P2P and O2C.

- Experience leading large teams and managing senior stakeholders in a complex organization.

- Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting processes and governance.

- Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, process improvement, automation and operational excellence.

- Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP / Oracle and finance transformation tools would be preferred.

- Experience within a manufacturing / industrial organization or a large captive/shared services environment would be advantageous.

- CA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
