About this role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Enterprise CE Presales Architect based in the United States.
This senior leadership role will shape high-value enterprise CRM and customer experience pursuits from initial qualification through sales-to-delivery handoff. You will define compelling solution visions and translate complex business challenges into practical transformation roadmaps. Working across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform, data, analytics, integrations, and AI capabilities, you will architect solutions designed for measurable business impact. The role combines executive-level client engagement, commercial judgment, solution architecture, estimation, and delivery strategy. You will partner closely with sales, delivery, technical and functional architects, industry experts, Microsoft, and strategic stakeholders. With responsibility for larger and more complex transformation programs, you will help drive growth while protecting scope, margin, delivery feasibility, and client outcomes. This is a remote opportunity with up to 50% travel, ideal for an experienced enterprise technology leader who thrives in strategic, high-impact environments.
Accountabilities:: Lead CE/CX pursuit strategy for strategic enterprise opportunities, from qualification and discovery planning through proposal development and sales-to-delivery handoff.
Facilitate executive and functional discovery sessions to understand business vision, desired outcomes, pain points, operating constraints, capability priorities, and measures of success.
Develop compelling solution narratives spanning Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Customer Insights, Power Platform, Copilot, analytics, integrations, data migration, adoption, and managed services.
Create solution storyboards, demo strategies, proposal approaches, statements of work, and executive-level presentations tailored to complex client requirements.
Own or coordinate ROM estimates, assumptions, exclusions, delivery models, timelines, staffing plans, margin considerations, and risk assessments.
Provide strategic oversight of large-deal pursuit quality, ensuring commercial assumptions are sound, delivery approaches are realistic, scope is disciplined, and implementation risks are clearly understood.
Coordinate closely with sales, delivery, functional and technical architects, industry SMEs, Microsoft, and other strategic stakeholders to create integrated pursuit strategies.
Establish and maintain lightweight presales governance, including stage gates, pursuit reviews, estimate and proposal quality assurance, deal-desk escalation, and sales-to-delivery handoff standards.
Develop reusable presales resources such as discovery guides, demo scripts, proposal content, SOW building blocks, estimation drivers, assumptions libraries, case studies, and handoff templates.
Maintain selective billable involvement in strategic advisory engagements, architecture validation, delivery mobilization, and executive design workshops to ensure presales recommendations remain grounded in practical delivery experience.
Represent the organization in executive client discussions, Microsoft co-sell initiatives, strategic account planning, webinars, workshops, and broader ecosystem collaborations.
Translate ambiguous client requirements into actionable scope, phased transformation roadmaps, delivery models, and implementation strategies.
Influence complex, multi-million-dollar enterprise pursuits while balancing growth objectives with delivery quality, commercial integrity, risk management, and long-term client relationships.
Requirements:
12+ years of experience delivering or shaping enterprise CRM/CX transformations, with substantial expertise across Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, Dataverse, integrations, analytics, and business process modernization.
Demonstrated success leading complex presales pursuits, executive discovery workshops, solution visioning, estimation, proposal and SOW development, and sales-to-delivery transitions.
Strong Microsoft ecosystem fluency, with relevant Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, and/or solution architecture certifications preferred.
Experience with manufacturing, distribution, field service, professional services, private equity/M&A integration, or related industries is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to influence large enterprise pursuits and translate complex or ambiguous business challenges into practical solutions, phased roadmaps, scopes, and delivery approaches.
Strong commercial judgment, including an understanding of delivery feasibility, margin considerations, scope management, assumptions, implementation risks, and financial quality.
Exceptional executive communication, storytelling, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to build credibility with C-suite executives, functional leaders, technical stakeholders, delivery teams, and strategic partners.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to coordinate diverse teams toward a common pursuit strategy.
Demonstrated ability to balance aggressive growth objectives with realistic delivery commitments and sustainable client outcomes.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment where priorities may evolve and independent judgment is expected.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings, workshops, industry events, and other business requirements.
