Director, Central Event Management Division

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Central Event Management Division and oversee all major university events.
• Develop an annual event calendar in coordination with university leadership and academic and administrative departments.
• Plan and execute national and international conferences, convocations, seminars, workshops, cultural festivals, exhibitions, and institutional ceremonies.
• Coordinate with internal departments, faculty members, students, external agencies, sponsors, dignitaries, and industry partners.
• Manage event budgets, resource allocation, procurement, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.
• Supervise event production, stage design, venue setup, audio-visual arrangements, lighting, hospitality, transportation, and logistics.
• Ensure protocol management for VIPs, government officials, international delegates, keynote speakers, and other distinguished guests.
• Oversee branding, event promotion, publicity, digital communication, photography, videography, and media coordination in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), event checklists, reporting mechanisms, and quality standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree

Typically 10- 15+ years of relevant experience, including substantial leadership experience in large-scale event management.
