DoubleEntry is a tech-enabled finance and accounting firm running finance and accounting for growth-stage companies, funded startups, and established businesses across India and the US. Our work spans Finance Operations (AI-assisted bookkeeping, Virtual CFO, controllership), Technical Accounting Advisory, IPO Readiness, Finance Transformation & Automation, and US accounting, payroll and tax. We are 60+ professionals out of Hyderabad, and Bangalore is our next market.

Why this role:

We are not looking for a regional manager to administer an existing office. We are looking for someone to own Bangalore - open the market, build the book of business, hire the team, and represent DoubleEntry to the city's founders, CFOs, and investor ecosystem. You will be the face of the firm in Bangalore, working directly with the Partner, with real ownership of the region's growth and a genuine path to building a P&L.

What you'll actually do:

Market ownership & business development (the core of the role):

- Own the Bangalore go-to-market: strategy, pipeline, and revenue for the region.

- Build relationships at the top - founders, CFOs, finance leaders, PE/VC funds, and their portfolio companies.

- Scope, shape, and close engagements across the full service portfolio; lead the high-value and complex pursuits yourself.

- Be DoubleEntry's senior presence in the market - speaking, ecosystem events, and the firm's local credibility.

- Work with the Partner to shape regional strategy, pricing, and which sectors to lean into.

Operations & leadership oversight:

- Stand up and oversee delivery for Bangalore clients, leaning on the Hyderabad engine.

- Hire and build the local team - starting with a manager and associates - and set the bar for quality and culture.

- Own client relationships at the principal level; be the person clients call when it matters.

- Review the team's work and ensure high quality delivery on engagements.

- As the office matures, shift from hands-on delivery to leadership, building the management layer beneath you.

What we're looking for:

- CA with 10+ years post-qualification, including time in senior controllership, CFO / finance-leadership, advisory, or practice-leadership roles.

- A proven relationship-builder - you have, or can quickly build, a network of CFOs, founders, and investors in Bangalore.

- Commercial instinct: you can read an opportunity, scope it, price it, and close it.

- Deep technical credibility across Indian standards, with exposure to US GAAP, IPO readiness, or transformation work as a strong advantage.

- A builder's temperament - comfortable with ambiguity, energized by ownership, and AI-forward in how you think about delivery.

- The presence to be the firm's senior face in a new city.
