Direct Tax Manager

Job Description - (Manager/Senior Manager Taxation) Direct Tax

1. Assisting the team head in Direct Tax matters of all group SPVs.
2. Participation in guiding and advising management on issues relating to Direct Taxation.
3. Studying and giving inputs in discussions relating to Structuring tax optimised contracts, agreements and group transactions in most tax efficient manner with regard to compliance.
4. Preparing the details for submission to IT Department independently and sometimes with Tax Consultants for the assessment of the Group Companies.
5. Filing the submissions relating to assessments and appeals.
6. Regular checking and monitoring the notices issued by IT department and ensuring that reply is duly submitted.
7. Co-ordinate with Tax Auditors, Statutory Auditors and Tax Consultants.
8. Work with other departments such as Accounts, finance, treasury, legal, and the business divisions in undertaking tax compliance, assessments, litigations research, risk evaluation and implementing tax initiatives.
9. Interpreting complex and varying circulars/Notifications announced by the Tax and regulatory authorities and seeking clarification wherever required from the respective authorities.
10. Preparing Tax Audit details and filing the same in compliance of the provisions of law.
11. Statutory compliances relating to direct taxes including monthly payments of TDS and filing quarterly TDS returns.
12. Calculation of Tax and total income for the purpose of filing ROI and finalisation of accounts.
13. Filing ROI of all SPVs relating to group.
